New Game! And yeah, gave up on Mystery Dungeon

So yeah, I realized it would be way too much stress to beat Etrian Odyssey and the Mystery Dungeon, so I went ahead and got Bravely Second.

As for why I gave up on Mystery Dungeon, it gets a bit long...

So the thing is, the main story before the credits was okay enough. But the dungeons afterwards are not.

For instance, I got to the Ice Dragon and he spammed his Ice Breath on me each turn. Without any protection, that is about 100 damage (around 1/2 to 1/3 of your health) on your entire party. It still does around 70 with the Paladin's Ice Guard. On top of that, he used it every turn. If you lower his HP down enough, he then starts using his "Sleep on the entire party" move, which immobilizes you for 4~5 turns as he pummels you with more Ice Breath. Now that was a bad experience.

Then, in Dungeon 11, you have to go through a 60 floor Reset-Dungon (where you start at level 1 with no inventory and go through the dungeon). A whopping 60 floors, where you can't leave unless you want to start at the beginning. Game over, start at the beginning. The areas quickly become dark, making it hard to detect enemies. And the owls will cause Hypnosis that makes you lose control of your character for 3~4 turns. During these turns, you might accidentally throw your equipment away and permanently lose it. You might unequip your weapons or armor, making you a sandbag for any enemies nearby (which will include the owl that hypnotized you if you are close and proceeds to shooting elemental attacks across the room if you are not).
It took a god-long amount of time getting to Floor 55, and I am not going to go through another 55 floors to get back to where I was.
